The Solidarité DOM-TOM Hérault/CSF organization was created to promote the integration of families and young people from overseas, and over the years, the organization has created solidarity boxes during the holiday season. These boxes are offered to students who do not return to their families, as well as to isolated families.
It’s the year 2022, and the end-of-the-year holiday is here again. As usual, this organization’s objective is to create at least 100 solidarity boxes that will be offered to beneficiaries. And being a not-for-profit organization, they require the support of like-minded individuals to realize these 100 Solidarity COFFRETS for the students and families they support.
This contribution and support will serve to provide basic food, goods, and support, thus giving importance and happiness to those students and families who have been celebrating the holidays alone.
End-of-year solidarity boxes
It’s the end the of year holiday once again, a time to love, a time to give, and time for Solidarité DOM-TOM to repeat their holiday tradition: realizing at least 100 Solidarity COFFRETS for the students and families who are in isolation.
As many around the world prepare to celebrate the end-of-year festivities, Solidarité DOM-TOM does not forget those who are far away from their loved ones.
During this period, showing support to students and families who have been celebrating the holidays alone is an even more pressing duty, especially for students, the elderly, single parents, and families in great financial instability.
This not-for-profit organization started this tradition of distributing surprise boxes to students and families who have been celebrating the end-of-the-year holidays alone, three years ago and they are intent on solidifying it.
Within their first two years (2020 and 2021) they achieved the objectives they had set for themselves in terms of the number of boxes created and distributed.
In 2021, they made and distributed over 100 New Year’s Eve Boxes which enabled 123 beneficiaries in isolation (students, the elderly, single parents, and families in great financial precariousness) to better spend their New Year’s Eve. And this provided many positive feedback from the beneficiaries.
Although they may not be able to put happiness into a box, these surprise boxes for those in isolation or those far away from their families come pretty close.
The boxes in 2021 contained the following:
- 1 embroidered jute bag
- cakes produced by the kitchen workshop
- a letter of want written by hand by employees, volunteers, and trainees
- a box of hygiene and beauty products.
- products donated by our partners (fruit juice, smoked sausages, cookies, drinks, goodies.
It’s 2022 and the holiday is here again, Solidarité DOM-TOM requires the support of like-minded individuals for the creation of at least 100 Solidarity boxes for these students and families in isolation.
This is a tradition they desire to maintain because the isolation of young people continues, and they’d like to do their part to make this holiday as delightful as possible for the students and families who will spend it in isolation.
To prove their value once again, they are obliged to maintain the quality of the contents of solidarity boxes and they plan on comforting young people and families who will feel alone during the holiday season. But the fruition of this year’s project will mostly depend on your support – you like-minded individuals who’d like to put happiness in the heart of these students and families.
This organization’s main challenge is getting the required fund that will be used for the purchase of the first material for the realization of the sewing workshop, the production of the kitchen workshop, and other products such as hygiene products, drinks (fruit juice), and spices.
Maintaining the distribution of at least 100 solidarity boxes for the 3rd consecutive year and also maintaining the level of quality of the boxes that will be offered, is also an issue. Additionally, not being on time for the realization of 100 Solidarity Cofrets by December 27, 2022, is something they’d like to avoid.
Solidarité DOM-TOM requires the support of like-minded individuals, for this year’s plan to be successful.
